Dr. Aparna Arvind is a leadership development coach who moved with her family to Maryland from Botswana not knowing anyone in the area. Through her volunteering as a mentor with Nvolve, she has become engaged with her new community. Nvolve supports women in science, technology, engineering and health fields by overcoming gender, racial and socioeconomic barriers.
